Toybox Lost In OZ.

This was a dual collaboration between the Amazon Prime show Lost in Oz and Toybox. The request was to recreate iconic scenes from the show using licensed toys that are printed using the Toybox 3D printer. Each character took several hours to print. The shoot was a combination of live composite shots with matte paintings from the show projected onto an LCD monitor. The characters were positioned in front of the screen along with elements including sand, rocks, and paper to create the illusion that the toys were actually in the scene. This practical effects technique creates an image that doesn’t require post-production compositing and is created live in camera.
